Christmas Break 2009

Christmas this year has been a lot different from the way they were in the past. This was the first Christmas without mom and she was missed by each and every one of us a great deal. I know that she was with us at every second, but it just didn't seem the same. The girls have been keeping Chris and I on the go. Sometimes I don't think I have enough energy to keep up with them. Chris has been able to go hunting a few times, but hasn't come home with muy grande yet. I am hoping that he is able to kill a deer. I have been blessed to watch my girls playing with their new toys that they got from Santa. I really think Peyton has a blast aggrevating Emilee because she would rather mess with Emilee's toys than her own, but Emilee does the same. I know that I will enjoy the rest of my time with them and my husband.

Mississippi Fun!

Well, ever since we have made it to Mississippi, we have been having a great time with Uncle Darryl, Aunt Nece, and Taylor. Yesterday we got to just relax in the pool and let me tell you, it was alot of fun. Emilee had a real good time shooting everyone with water guns that we had, especially Uncle Darryl who wouldn't get in the pool. Chris had a real good time throwing Emilee and dumping me off the float. Peyton was taking her nap during this time, but got to get in a little later and let me tell you, she also had a good time. She was so relaxed in her little float and chewing on the pool toys. She also enjoyed splashing water in her face, she just thought that it was so funny.

Mississippi Trip

How should I start this, it was a VERY long trip with a screaming little one. Instead of sleeping like Chris and I hoped, Peyton decided she would practically stay up the 9 of the 10 hour trip. Emilee on the other hand, did a really good job, until about an hour out then she decided to get a little crazy. If Chris didn't shave his head, he would have pulled all of his hair out with Peyton constantly screaming. I really think she knew it got to him and she kept doing it and then laughing. We are so happy to finally get up here and get to visit, but of course we aren't looking forward to the long trip home again.

Well, we have been very busy in our household. Between chasing a one year old and a five year old, there is NEVER a dull moment. The girls are complete opposites. Emilee has always been one that requires a great deal of attention and Peyton is content on being by herself. This summer we will be doing a lot of family outings. We are looking forward to our camping trip on July 4th with our wonderful family and friends and many more camping trips that we will be taking the month of July. Emilee is really enjoying her summer because she is able to swim every single day. There are times that I think she is a fish. Peyton on the other hand hasn't really taken to the water as well as Emilee. Right now she is a little afraid of the deeper pool water, but I am hoping that she adjust to it as time goes by. I will keep you updated as much as I can with what us Wegener's are up to.
